Apparently some things need an explanation.

Sparkz does not dress like this because he has loose morals. It feels silly even writing that. He enjoys 80’s hair metal bands for one and he cuts the pant leg off of any jeans he wears to protest his handicap of having a paw missing on that same side.

Sparkz has a history of terrible decisions made with regard to serious relationships. Every girlfriend (or wife as it were) that he’s had ended up in a very ugly breakup each uglier than the previous one. After divorcing Michella, Sparkz was hypnotized by Trez to forget the trauma of what actually happened to his paw.

During the hypnosis session, Trez decided to try to tell Sparkz that Sparkz was actually a homosexual, thinking Sparkz would continue to make a habit of finding the worst possible match for him and get hurt more. Trez was unaware that Sparkz had come out of his trance before being told that he was gay, but never let Trez know that. He was suspicious of Trez for a very long time before he finally realized that Trez was trying to look out for his own well-being and naturally developed an affection for him.

Not sure why this one needs explanation but okay? Maybe I’m just too vague in descriptions. Trez and Chafe are trying to “reprogram” Sparkz to have a healthier respect for personal space.

And now the explanation of THIS drawing.

Sparkz was created from a surrogate mother in a laboratory owned by Dresdon Corporation (full explanation here fav.me/dc7q49r ) Sparkz was designed along with dozens of other animals to hunt for Xiosi (Trex, Kearns and Michella’s species). Rather than them actually being forced to actively search for them, a DNA protocol analyzer device was attached to their nasal cavities, meaning that every animal they smelled would have their DNA added to a Dresdon database and would be analyzed for any direct contact with xiosi. These lab animals were unaware of this nor would the directly have any knowledge of what was transferred to the Dresdon servers.

When Trex and Sparkz escaped the laboratory after the fire, Trex put Sparkz in a trance and hacked Sparkz protocol analyzer so that Sparkz would feed Dredon servers with dummy information while feeding Trex the correct information. He would use this data to find any affiliates of Dresdon Laboratories as he plots to dismantle Dresdon once and for all so that Xiosi will no longer be hunted. Sparkz remains completely unaware of this.

To gather more data, faster, Trex constantly sends Sparkz telepathic suggestions to gather data on every new creature he comes across until Trex can be sure they are in no way shape or form affiliated with Dresdon Corporation. If Trez were aware that Trex was the reason Sparkz always felt compelled to sniff, he would be very upset and ashamed.
