Sequel to I guess.and yes.... Mr. Kat suggested Cadpig had a football-shaped head. not in so many words, though. XD
So this was a day of firsts...
never attempted solid cel shading before. always butchered it with awful Gaussian Blurs and the like.
also (and i've actually done this once before but it's been forever) i sketch this entirely from the tablet. no paper used whatsoever. i'd say it's Eco-friendly, but i'm not using solar power so i guess it isn't. XDDD
whatever.
okay, but i've never done the white gradient background before. it seems so easy on paper, but.. no. it isn't. not for me.
i wanted to be like my brother...
hopefully i can finish a time sensitive drawing tonight some time, but we'll see. i might never go back to paper again.

Looks really nice! The lines are very smooth, and the cell shading looks great too (: I like Cadpig's nose.
Only thing I see is Cadpig seems to be missing a paw...?

Looks awesome, bro! Then again I am a bit biased towards cel-shading, but even if I wasn't I wouldn't think it looks any less awesome, and I definitely like how this turned out.

I like to use both
There are Pictures, that are suggested to "similar" ones to yours. And most of them are Ponies XD ThatΒ΄s at least, what DA is showing to me XDXD

soft shading should be for background and hard for characters. well i guess in some instances. i always did the opposite because i'm lame, but one day i'll figure out hard shading and i'll keep on screwing up and experimenting until it makes sense.
because you never improve if you just keep doing ht exact same thing over and over and over again and expect different results and that's what i've been doing for the past 1.5 years.
but one day!
besides, i love how you draw any way you draw.
