Sometimes Einstein disappears for a few hours, and we have been trying to figure out where he was going. Now we know. (Actually we’d found him there before, but I never realized he could open and close the door)Related content

I really believe that animals are much smarter than most people think; on the other hand, they don't have the communication skills that would allow them to consistently learn new things or to extrapolate from what they can do, to come up with new things. They learn isolated skills but never seem to link them up. People say things like, "Einstein learned a new trick," but then dismiss it as just that: a trick. That, coupled with their limited interaction with various kinds of animals, leads them to think that animals aren't very smart. I beg to differ.

Effectivement; il y a quelques millénaires, les chats étaient adorés comme des dieux. Nous l’avons peut-être oublié, mais eux ne l’ont pas!

Oui, et c'est bien pour ça que par respect quand je croise un chat, je lui dis bonjour. C'est triste de nos jours, mais on a plus de réponses de la part des félins que des humains en faisant cela :\ .

Oh yeah- they can open doors too- if they want to. We had several kitties that could jump up and turn the door knobs.
