thank you - good link . For me stream of consciousness somehow was connected to James Joyce as one of those establishing the term...but the lyrics for your link show a quite better fitting description in our context:
"The art is born, the eyes wide open
Diffuse colors projected on your retina
Watch the play, divert the primal shapes
Primal shapes in disarray
The art is born, for we are becoming
Slaves of thought
Using the stream of consciousness
Prove the senses
Taste the ambience of feelings
And make contact
Here you are
Aware
In direct confrontation
With your inner self"

...and i wonder,
isn't this one of the profound ideas of photography?
Being at the right place, the right instant and capture it with
your camera?
...It's not about being lucky, it's about being a photographer.

Ok...well...think you are right in a very profound sense concerning the definition of photography .
Though today for me a photographer somehow is not always only painting with light and I often have seen processed results which just proved quite a bit more then the "original" and made me feel humble with my "results". But on the other hand I also love quite a number of my pictures anyways even if I could sometimes imagine some "added touches" which I just arent able to do...
Hope that text somehow makes sense to you?

...Actually it does.
Well, i always believed that everyone is free to do whatever
he/she likes to come as closer as possible to the image in
his/her mind.
...But still, you first need a capture to process. You need to
paint with light.
So, being at the right place, the right time, still feels like a
precious commodity to me.
P.S. I also love your title...

yes...in former times people with the right skills could work with the chemical processing...now it's just easier and mightier with electric means. And as you state the picture first is created in the mind of the photographer anyways, so any means to bring it closer to his vision are in my eyes absolutely ok. So definitely concur with your statement as think pretty much the same . And you are right...without the right picture as basis nothing will happen. Just think that one can find good pictures to work with probably everywhere if one has the eyes open and the necessary imagination and quickness to capture the right detail.
Thank you for the comment concerning the title. Always also try to give a bit of thought I connect this picture with...though it's more "stream of consciousness" technique and grasping at words that feel right.

/me is humbled. Well just trying to put the ways things work for me in words . But glad to have inspired with doing that!

Well, let's say that i can understand, connect, be inspired
from those ways and the words that explain them.
It's really nice to meet you.

the pleasure is on my side . Was actually quite funny with the last reply as while writing it the overlapping of our thoughts became clearer during putting it to words. And dialogue always helps me to learn more ...about one's own thoughts/processes and also about other ways to do things which could improve and challenge the beaten paths one sometimes treads as they are just "normal".
