My main issue with that post was that I didn't explain why I dislike the "don't" side, so here I'll be explaining what (in my eyes) makes the left drawing more appealing than the right.

DISCLAIMER:
Art is suuuuper subjective, and these are just some general tips that are good to follow in my eyes. You can make bright colors and stuff work, trust me, I've seen amazing art with super saturated color schemes.

"Yeenaw" ("don't" side)
-The colors are extremely bright and are very clashing, with no attempt to harmonize them or make them work.
-The shading is done evenly all around the drawing with no regard for the light source, making the drawing look flat. This (I believe) is called pillow shading, and should be avoided.
-The shading is done with a gray color, which makes the drawing look dull.
-The highlight of the hair is straight across, it doesn't follow the form of the hair, which is confusing, and makes the hair look more like shiny metal than hair.
-The colors are all filled in with a fill bucket tool, and since the lineart is textured, this leaves a lot of white gaps and grainy bits. This is especially obvious where the hair meets the teddy bear, where there are a lot of small details.

"Yeehaw" ("do" side) (still kinda bad since im not that good at art)
-The colors are all warm colors, so they work well together. (the green is more of a yellowish tone to fit well with the pink, and browns are light desaturated)
-There is a definite light source (or at least I tried to make it look like that??)
-The highlights follow the form of the hair.
-The lineart is brown, giving the drawing a soft look. (nothing against black lineart btw, I just like how brown/dark blue/non-black lineart looks lol)
-The shading is done with a peach/pink color, again giving the drawing a warm tone.
-The colors have been colored by hand with the brush tool/have been touched up when using the fill bucket to ensure that there are no (or at least minimal) white gaps
