Just wanted to tell you that I think you captured beautifully the pain he feels after the ending. Also, I totally agree with you. Dr. Horrible is basically the best thing that happened to the human race, ever.

Dr. Horrible is definitely one of my top musicals/movies and the ending was so heartshatteringly abrupt and unexpected.
I've only just watched it last week and it's been running through my mind ever since.
