The scales of his wings are imbued with toxic dust containing pheromones.

When scattering these scales, Jake is able to manipulate others' decisions and actions close around him without them even noticing their descisions being manipulated.

His powers are limited to that the more often the same person gets exposed to his scales, the more immune they grow to them. And there are Fairies like Insect Fairies who are immune in general against his scales. Children also are mostly unaffected to them as well.

Jake gets drawn to strong light sources and light reflexions like a moth to the flame but while being exposed to it, the effects/concentration of pheromones of his scales are temporary intensified while he’s in a trance-like state. Through the years Jake learned to supress his reactions towards light but he also often triggers this ability intentionally for the temporary enhancing effect of his pheromone scales.

Jake Hideas seems like a person who has it all: He's the C.E.O. of "HideaSweets Corp." - one of the most successful and popular companies of Faya Island and one of the most popular, influental and most wealty Fairies of Faya Island.

But if you look behind his facade, you'll discover that his lush life he was living since he got adopted at age 16 by the super rich Hideas family already got cracks getting deeper and deeper.

What many people don't know or realize is Jake's greed making him to line his own pockets rather than keeping the company running the legal way, slowly depleting it and leading it into an economic disaster.

To prevent leading the company into bankruptcy or being forced to relinquish his luxurious lifestyle, he's not holding back to follow morally gray or even illegal ways to keep both sides up:

He manipulates his employees, his business partners, suppliers and even his attourneys and tax consultants with his powers to work to his favor.

And anyone who dares to mess with his business or grew immune to Jake’s manipulating wing scales will be get taken care of one way or another - either by his loyal "assistants" or by himself.

Jake first was introduced to the lush life of a very wealthy family when he was adopted at the age of 16. He also thought that he was as good as powerless, only having the in his eyes useless ability of getting lured by light sources that didn help him much in his parentless childhood. He also wasn’t a pretty kid with not much self-esteem and an unhealty relationship towards sweet and unhealthy food.

His life took a complete u-turn when he turned into a Hideas Family member and when he first discovered the effects pheromones-imbued scales on his wings (according that those powers were working the first time then).

He got home-schooled alongside his new sister, Meredith Hideas and both’ education were focused on taking over the family company of HideaSweets Corp. in the future.

Thorough the years Jake did everything to scrub off his „loser“ appearance and mindset he had as a child, refining and improving his powers, building up his charisma to persuade others to do or give anything he wants and in the end even managing to become the C.E.O. of HideaSweets Corp. Instead of his sister after their parents mysteriously died in the early 1980s. Meredith may also be the 2nd shareholder but the major one isn’t her but Jake.

Jake and his sister may come along very well since the moment he got adopted but he also keeps some secrets even from her because he fears that Meredith may not agree with every effort and plans of keeping HideaSweets from falling apart and from staying in the red. He’s also keeps his questionable method of „cutting the personnel costs and employing the cheapest staff possible“ a secret from Meredith.

He also gained interest in an underground syndicate that is specialized into any kind of gaining and creating magical tech and altering gadgets and weapons. Jake also acts as an sponsor in exchange of acquiring illegally altered and enhanced weapons and gadgets for his own interests.

There’s one or two more things Jake hides from his sister but I won’t reveal it yet for major spoiler reasons.

In the time frame of „Cavity Case“ that is playing from November 27th to December 6th, 1989; Jake and „HideaSweets Corp.“ are in the middle in the winter holiday season that’s usually the time with the highest volume of sales for obvious reasons.

They are in the middle in the preparation for a new and in Jake’s eyes „revolutionary“ line of sweets that are currently in creation and production, aiming for a Faya-wide release on December 6th, 1989.

The revolutionary part of the new line of sweets is that Jake aims to add actual magic into the sweets that are supposed to give the consumers a „real magical experience“ while savoring them. (I won’t reveal the effect of the Magic inside the sweets, yet)

But Jake knows that magical energy doesn’t grow on trees or can be produced indefinitely like electrical energy or be bought like food ingredients, so he had to find a solution for acquiring unlimited magic sources.

If any of you followed the last two rounds of OC-Training where I introduced Tara Norma and Michael Nameless, you may get an idea what Jake Hideas got as sources for getting magical energy!

Regarding the Guess Who Picture I tried to convey that Jake Hideas and Abigail Almond must have known each other for longer than a few months by Jake screaming her first name „Abigail“ instead of „Mrs. Almond“ in the moment when he murders her.

So for anyone of you who likes it more TLR style: Jake Hideas is a „From Rags to Riches by Chance“ Fairy businessman who is extremely greedy. He tries to keep his company „HideaSweets Corp.“ running with questionable, even illegal methods so he doesn’t have to sacrifice his own lush way of life for the company’s sake. With a new revolutionary line of sweets he wants to release, he expects to stay the richest and one of the most influental fairies of Faya Island for the rest of his life.

But his plans gets at risk after one of his questionable ways to generate income by extorting money from orphanages gets way out of hand for personal reasons here at the „Dearest Almond Orphanage“. Mrs. Almond isn’t only offering resistance too much that makes Jake snap and blasting her (as if Jake wasn’t prepared for that!!), he and his two loyal „assistants“ Linus Rooker and Jasper Skinner get caught in the act by an orphan kid who wasn’t supposed to be in the orphanage for Jake was planning beforehand to „invite“ everyone of the orphanage to visit the HideaSweets factories for a tour as a field trip. Jake aims to use every method to think of to keep the truth about him and his heinous crimes to get public and leading him to lose everything he got; his fame, his wealth and his (fake) good reputation.
