I kinda believe that his faith was set from the begining. Chris can have male partners, just doesn't work. But he was sure one heck of a partner.

Such touching work...nicely done Piers was my favorite character to play from the beginning. It was sad to see him die in the end...I agree that it would have been nice to see him take over for Chris. He'll be remembered as a great character for a long time. It would have been nice to have some way to save him though. Just a way to prevent his arm from being crushed would do. With the guns he has at his disposal he could save Chris from that thing. Then they could kill it together.
