Feynriel and Alistair both have round ears, so that's probably why they say it's an unwritten rule about half breeds. But this is your artistic interpretations, not theirs. She's adorable, so screw anyone who says otherwise. I love her.

You know, I got into a fight with like 3 people
over this. I only asked them to prove that it wasn't
possible and all they kept saying was 'Feynriel has
round ears' O_o so what? Does that prove without
any doubt that they all have to be that way? But
I'm not doing this again. That fight almost made
me never want to do the art again.
Thanks so much though. Glad you like her ^^

I personally think that it's a silly rule. You're an artist and this is your interpretation. There is no rule that says that fanart has be 100% accurate to canon ALL the time. Because it isn't.
But I just wanted to clarify for you why people are saying so strongly that half-elven children don't have pointed ears in DA. Feynriel is not the only proof. In the book, The Calling, written by David Gaider (lead writer of DA), two of the main characters have a child. That father is human, the mother is elven. The father expresses surprise that the son has round ears and the mother says "That's why we stay together in alienages, mostly. The children of humans and elves are human. If we interbred, we would die out."
So since Word of God wrote it, it's assumed to be canon. Hence why people are jumping down your throat. I personally think she's precious. If people keep giving you a hard time, just remind them that it's FANART and therefore, its YOUR spin on things and it doesn't necessarily HAVE to be what they hold to be "canon". Keep up the good work. ^^

Yeah, someone told me about that book. I then
pointed out (as I did a million times lol) that
I never disagreed the kids were human. I told
them that I made Aalea have a VERY human face
to make up for the pointed ears. One guy told
me that the ears were the only thing that made
you able to tell they were elves. I was shocked.
I was like "Have you seen the elves in DA2?"
They are so obviously different than human.
Longer necks, outward bridge, large eyes. I
would really never push it so much but these
guys were making sense. -____- I told them
that Aalea was a human, she just has pointed
ears (not super long like Fenris) but pointed.
And ALL her other features were human but
they wouldn't let it go D8

Yeah, now that I look at her face, it is quite human. Then again, we didn't see ANY CHILDREN models for elves in DA2. That kind of bugged me. It's like Kirkwall was a kid-free zone.
So basically, she's like the elves were in DAO. Smaller humans with pointed ears. I really do like that everything about the elves were different in DA2, unlike most people.
So yeah, I like your take on how the gene pool might flow for the Hawkris kidlet. ^^

O_O yeah what was with the utter lack of
children other than the few 'Urchins'
that were hanging around. I would love
to see some real elf kids. I bet they
are adorable. Lol
And thanks XD

Ok, I can't help but ask. Will the child be purely a model for personal use or will she be available for public download? Also, what scenery is this? I can't recognize it. XD

The scenery is actually something I threw together
using other parts. The base is the campground and
they sitting on a tree that I can't remember where
I got XD. Then I put up an image of a forest in the
background.
As for the little girl. I had planned on keeping
her to myself because I got a lot of hate mail about
her having pointed ears because of some unspoken rule
in DA2 about half breeds that no one can prove. -___-
but if you were interested in her, I could give her
to you.

I can clear up the business about the pointed ears- I don't know why nobody can prove it, though- I've got the proof in my hands.
I'll be nice about it, though- just to help you understand it
David Gaider wrote two books on the Dragon Age universe, all taking place before Origins (stories telling of Maric, Loghain, and the Grey Wardens before their return to Ferelden). *Spoilers Beware* (you have been warned)
Maric has a child with the elf Warden, Fiona (take a wild guess at who this is- and it is not Cailan )- and is surprised when the boy is presented to him with rounded ears and looks completely human. Fiona explains that when elves breed with humans, the children look human and that continuing such an interbreeding would eventually lead to elves dying out (hence why it is highly frowned upon). If you know who this child grows up to be...then you have your answer as to why people were throwing a (needless) fit over this mod having pointed ears.
That said, I think this is a beautiful mod regardless of it being non-canon to the Dragon Age universe She's an adorable little thing.

Wow, it all looks so seamless. lol
Wow, people are that obsessive about that sort of thing? Talk about being petty. But yes, I'm definitely interested in her. I think she's an amazing model.

helped me put the hair on but
there is a bug there. If you move her jaw, it moves
her hair Lol. I could probably fix it but it never was a
problem for me so I didn't care that much Lol. I'll get
it on sendspace and send you the link later.
