Description
Before you start complaining, please take time to read this Artist's CommentI've seen many times, that random deviants are giving artistic title for a beginner-level image. There is nothing artistic, no talent in those pictures, just by trying out boring and out-fashioned angles with automatic settings on a £60 -companynamehere - camera what knows NOTHING compared to a really good ones.
Using Macro settings? So-so far away...
Tricking around with flash? Useless!
Shit camera on a shit tripod on angle - 60 degrees? BORING!!!
That's one thing.
The another is, when Deviants are bitching around and trying to be SUPAH-DUPAH-COOLBRO with their -companynamehere - mobile phone from T-Mobile or Vodafone what knows only 3 megapixels. C'mon guys!
Try to be specific, even you can't afford for a £1000 Nikon/Canon/Whatever camera with change-able lenses and 12+ megapixels. There are hundreds of image-editing softwares what you can use, BITCH AROUND WITH THAT!
An image should tell you a story - means, crystal-clear-like images can be fucking dramatic if the scene is well planned.
Also, the Sun. THE FUCKING SUN.
Shining at your way, burning out your damn eyes, take an utterly shit shot and voala: NO CLOUDS, NO REASONABLE, CLEAR BACKGROUND JUST THE WHITE NOTHING! Well, white highlights the dark colors, but please, the world is not that bright!
Bitching around with a salt-lamp, or a guitar, or even with an oldschool chair. Those are can make effects, but you really, REALLY have to catch the moment!
Over-blurred images are for the win!
Sometimes they are coming out well, if the image made on a party, but if you want to capture a building or a non-repetable moment, BLUR will destroy it. Believe me.
And, there are many of you, whom are uploading the really fucking shit images with those (or even more critical) mistakes. USELESS! Keep them on photobucket or somewhere else.
BLURRED, PIXELATED, TOO BRIGHT-TOO DARK IMAGES ARE NOT ART!!!
And ladies and gentlemen and the award of "Queen of Photography Mistakes" goes to: RULE OF THIRD
I just can dreaming about, that tons of you are don't know this really easy rule. "STEP ON THE MIDDLE YO' BITCH, STEP ON THE MIDDLE" Helluva fuckyeah! I really love hearing this all the time and i need to face with. Well, probably you don't even know about it, but if you open your eyes and try it out, you'll use this basic rule in the future, so easy, so understandable.
Coming to the end, the title.
So amazing to see a title of a highly blurred image of a rose "The beautiful life". Yep. The image tells me that immediately. Fuck.
- Another example, let's say... railway station
Aim: Capture a particular place at a railway station with a shutter speed of... 1/10
Future image title: "Why the world is so fast"
Final image: 3 people walking aroun the Departures desk and picking stuff out from their noses.
BRILLIANT! How awesome that could be!
I know what i'm talking about, i needed to face these mistakes, and i have Level 1 qualification in Photography
And those whom congratulate them to catching a really meaninless, crap image. Congrats for them, they are fucking blind to see them normally.
Last but not least, a good example of rule of third:
Stamp made by--- i dunno.
Any suggestions? Any disagrees? Any agrees? All of them are welcome ^^

Lol, my friend and I make fun of that kind of art (the whole "Oh this is so deep") by taking random pictures, adding sepia tone and BAM! Super deep and artistic!

If it's for fun, for me it's alrighty. But mainly, i talk about those people, whom taking their shit images seriously like "OMAIGOD, DIS IZ DA BEST SHOT WHAT I EVED MADE!!4!44!!!FOUR!!44!" and giving a really unmeaningful title

I know, those are just ridiculous. Art is not that simple. If it was, anyone could be a "deep and poetic artist" [insert distressed and agonized artist pic here].

You ain't got a clue how much I agree with you on this. I especially hate it when they slap poetic titles to crappy MS Paint base crap,
With characters that of course make existing characters be ashamed of themselves.

I'm glad you do, dearie, but I also know we both cringe at the craptastic 'works' of people around here.

I love the shit out of rule of thirds. You can make something that'd be uninteresting badass by changing where it is in the frame.
Well, not everything, but you get my point.

I feel like this applies to me, only not as strongly... I don't have a scanner (more specifically, the patience to use one) so I take pictures of my work with my iPhone, run it through a photo editor (to change brightness and contrast because I take them in bad lighting), and upload it...

Your artists comments is really...hard to read.
..:c Also, I take pictures with my camera and I don't think they're shit. Its lens isn't changeable, it's not 2000 dollars, it's just a camera I was given in 2006, but that doesn't mean all my photos are worthless. >_> A good artist can take good photos even with a shitty camera.

Yes i know, since i'm really bad in English.
Erm well. A bit of talent is neccessary i think. Also, there are some people who can get through with smaller, easy cameras, some of them are probably willing to take their skill further. It's all about presenting. I practice photography when i can, even i have a really poor camera, but i can deal with it, i can catch what i want, others why not? Because maybe they don't care?

ahahahahaa
yes
this xD
There are SO many horrible pictures with like, one random photoshop filter on it, or black and white, with some "deep" title to go along with it, as if they're so talented and creative...
There's never any description for it either, it's just like "..." as if that makes them look deep and mysterious.
I think what annoys me most is when people take a random, uninteresting picture of their eyes and call it like, "Mysterious Goddess" or something...
