uhm call me stupid or maybe my brain doesn't work properly right now.. I have no real clue what you are trying to tell me with that post...
are you saying you agree, or are you saying I just didn't "get" the book (or was to lazy to understand, let my imagination take it) or so?.. either way is fine with me.. I don't get mad about stuff people tel me over theinternet I just thought Fight Club was not very well written (better: I didn't like the style that much. it was great at first but bored me after a while) and the story didn't really grab me as much as teh movie.. strange, usually books can do that better than movies. Buth then again maybe the german version is badly translated *ponders*
anyways.. Lord of th Rings... *gives two cents worth* I like the movies better since I find teh books lenghthy at times. On teh other hand I actually don't like to compare them since I think in this case it is totally different and uncomparable. There is just no way of putting everything from the books into the movies and it so giogantic and has become such a cult that there will always be controversy about it. and besides.. movie is movie and book is book.. different media.. when translating one medium into another there HAVE to be alterations

I never sang "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" in band camp, but I did get to play my nice, shiny silver trumpet in 85 degree weather! Fun. O____________O This one really made me laugh.
