Hopefully this doesn't need a mature content filter?? Anyway, it's an entry for Captain-LaDue 's contest!
In this entry, I tried to represent the vulnerability and doubt LaDue can experience without her armor. I imagined it almost like a shield that she can be violent and confident behind, but when it's taken away, her doubt comes rushing back to her. I put the darkest part of the piece on her armorless side to represent not only her fear of the dark, but also her paranoia and guilt. I imagined her wondering if she's good enough to fight, and what the people back home would think of all the things she's done (note the energon on one hand and the blood on the other).
Also this took me like 8 hours to do?? But I really like how it turned out, especially since I haven't drawn humans (or backgrounds!) in awhile. Hope you guys like this too!

not now, unfortunately :'D i have a lot of other things i have to do, and also i don't get out of school until june 22 (which SUCKS)
but maybe if i'm able to finish more commissions i'll think about it?? it should be easier after school ends (but my parents want me to get a summer job so i'm not really sure if it would be that much easier :/)

The effect of half-robo transforming is very cool and your explanation of a psychological meaning into it makes lots of sense. I'm not a fan of half-organic characters but nevertheless I like your art and if it;s a contest than wish you good luck in it! Cool that you're taking an show character's mindset in a metaphoric way like that.

I love the textures in the background and the subtly in the change between both sides.
Her hair is gorgeous, and the bruises are a nice touch.
