this is a brilliant shot. the composition is perfect and the b/w treatment enhances its impact. there really isn't anything about this that could be better.
with this image one gets the feeling of emerging from the darkness into a world that may not be the stuff of hopes and dreams, but that's better than being in a hole in the ground. kind of like the real world.
it's an inspirational message, but realistic at the same time. there are no bright lights and glitter, but the place you're going is stil better than where you came from. i'd love to see more work like this.
