Painted this semester for an illustration class. The assignment was to take a word and abstract its meaning, and to create texture with the paint. I chose "power," and went with the power of words. Done using acrylics.Whenever I paint stuff like this, my family assumes I have problems

Great work. You created some great texture by using a "painterly" style. I like the originality of the work also. Not many artists would have gone in this direction with the word "power" but I think your work displays what you want it to mean clearly.
