The imposing figures of the other pieces, shrouded by cloud, bearing down on the lonely pawn, invoke emotions deep inside of me.
But mostly its just awesome. One of the best, most dynamic pieces of traditional work I've ever seen!

Very nicely captured the mood! However I do think that the depth would be more prominent if there would be less white lines between the blocks, around the pion's head works, but it feels to me as if I'm seeing paper I shouldnlt in this pieces, aspecially as you did such a nice job on the cloudy effects and the blurry background makeing it feel faraway.

How come the "evil" opponent (that's the way I look at it) is going to be white, and you're black?
White would better show a feeling of being unsure, feeling unconfident against someone a lot better than black would.
Maybe he feels like he can do this...
