The guy I bought this from had a lot of random specimans so he didn't have too much into, so I don't know too much about this Opal, except that it came from Ethiopia, and he gave me a great deal on it!

I'm going to probably use it as a wrap piece, its actually pretty secure. I believe its a nodule type opal (it was in a geode) so when the geode was cracked open, this is what you saw. (I saw the other pieces of it). Pretty interesting, I want to learn more about this type of opal.
