► [ PRIMARY FUNCTION ]
Robo was first made way back before GiA entered the brigade and was meant to be a presence resembling a mini companion. As time goes by, the robot is gradually upgraded and programmed to be able to assist GiA with his daily chores. Robo is capable of completing simple tasks such as fetching tools and carrying heavier things upon GiA’s requests whenever needed. At times Robo also stands in as task reminder, wake up alarms, media player, voice recorder, and some other incredibly random features the mechanic decided to have installed.
► [ SECONDARY FUNCTION ]
Robo is used as a backup AI in case Milie suffers from future severe malfunctions. Given that Robo is an old version of an AI system, he lacks in terms of computing power and mined data when compared to Milie. He is housed at an undisclosed area in the B sector, far from where Milie is to ensure that he would survive in the worst case scenario if Milie's location is ever to be compromised. Aside from being a backup, Robo's mainframe acts as a processing farm, taking in tasks that come from Milie's network.
► [ PERSONALITY ]
Unlike Milie’s pre-programmed personality, Robo’s behaviour is due to change every once in a while. Robo was intended to be a medium for GiA to test simulate how a person grow emotionally as time passes by. Throughout the years, Robo’s just seemingly growing tired of the random things his owner asks him to do, which is currently translated into an incredibly apathetic persona.
► [ VERSION LOG ]
Up until version 2.0, Robo’s AI was based of a female’s feminine psyche. Version 3.0 was developed just shortly before Milie’s hacking incident occurred, and has since then been configured to be able to support Milie in times of emergency.
► [ ADDITIONAL INFO ]
- Unlike other machineries and gadgets functioning within the brigade, Robo is not constantly linked to Milie’s network.
- Robo is unable to ‘converse’ via speeches. Random texts and emojis will show up on the unit’s monitor as replies to inquiries.
- The visor the AI model has on also flashes emojis.
- Robo will ignore you when it wants to.
- A mini storage compartment is available in the unit’s ‘body’, secured by a hexagonal shaped door. An extra mechanical claw is stored inside along with some mini pepper spray cans (for occasional self-defense).
- The two pairs of prongs on each arm are connected to 5 meter long steel ropes, each safely secured and tucked inside. Electric currents can run through these ropes so, when needed, they can be used to tie some people up and stun them (again.. defense purposes).
- A night mode display for his AI is available.
- Robo’s voice recording feature is online most of the time, seeing that GiA needs to sometimes replay the recordings to find out what messages other had left for him when he accidentally falls asleep mid-conversation (it happens).
- You will only see Robo whenever GiA is there.
► [ TRIVIA ]
- List of the random things GiA made Robo do the past years includes automatically playing Christmas songs during every end of year, shooting out confetti whenever a new member is registered, sprinkling faux snow or sometimes bubbles, handing out candies, etc.
- The unit’s exterior has been replaced and rebuilt from scratch for more than dozens of times. Now it will at least not break when someone decides to kick it to the wall.
- Robo is gender fluid. Its AI is just currently a male.
- Robo’s unit can’t run or jump thanks to its short pudgy legs.
