I know that Misriah Armory is credited with developing the MA4 series assault rifle platform. I am leaving this here because at the time that I wrote this, the backstory was cool.

Because so many people asked for it, I remade my MA4D to resemble the MA37 more. This is NOT supposed to REPLICATE the MA37 [Halo: Reach AR] It is only supposed to resemble it in a way.

You know, in the Halo Universe, no one ever bothered to mention or credit the makers of the MA assault rifle series. Well, that maker would be Omega Arms. This is the original predecessor to the MA5B, MA5C, the MA5K and 12 other rifles. Designed in late 2481, it wasn't involved in UNSC use until the MKII version of the MA4D was released and dubbed the MA4E. Although the unofficial name, that is what it is called in the UNSC files and combat records. The only differences are that the MA4D fired .22 and 5.56 rounds while the MA4E fired 7.62 and NATO's. Only 1,500 models of the MA4D and 18,000 MA4E's were produced. The MA4D was originally created for civillian PDW use and was not intended for military use until the UNSC offered big money for Omega to create a line of assault rifles that evolved into the MA5C. There are only 7 left in existence in the year 2552.
