Slowly but surely, Diane's eyes began to open. This was soon followed by a loud yawn and the stretching of her incredibly long body. While she had been asleep, she had been dreaming about several things that seemed to make sense at the time. But as she continued to wake up and she began to forget the dream, she realised that it mostly didn't make any sense whatsoever.

It also took the elongated giantess a few moments to remember what had happened to her and this did make her more alert. She could feel her fear beginning to increase as she thought that she might have changed again while she had been slumbering. Because of this, she quickly began to look at herself to see if this indeed was the case.

This was soon followed by a small sigh of relief as Diane could see that although her body was abnormal, it still looked the same as it did before she had fallen asleep. Also when she looked at the environment around her, that too looked the same. This was something that she could be happy about since she thought that she might have grown even larger while she had been slumbering.

This was a double edged sword however as it also meant that she hadn't returned to her normal size either. This was something that she did find disappointing but it was still better than the alternative that she had thought in her head. The giantess could at least take comfort in that.

"That was a nice sleep," said Diane as she continued to stretch herself. Slowly but surely, she began to get back up to her feet and she stretched herself once more. Like the day before, she had tried to reach down and touch her toes. For that moment she had forgotten just how long her legs were and how this was an impossible task. This caused her to sigh once more but this time in frustration.

There was something else that Diane couldn't help but notice as well. In her mind, she also had tried to see how long she had been asleep for. She did this by attempting to see where the sun was in the sky. From her vantage point, this was something that she found to be quite surprising to say the least.

Rather than looking towards the west, the elongated giantess found herself instead looking east as she could see that the sun was rising. It was clear to her that it was around dawn at that moment in time. This was something that she hadn't expected at all and it also made her begin to think of she could barely comprehend.

"I-It's sunrise!" said Diane to herself with some confusion in her voice. "It wasn't even night time when I fell asleep, just how long was I asleep for?"

It was difficult for her to figure out exactly how long she had been sleeping for. But she considered that it had been well over twelve hours, most likely close to eighteen hours. One of the longest periods that she had ever slept before. This did make her more determined to reach her destination and hope that Merlin could make her regular size once more.

The giantess did begin to step away from where she had been slumbering but there was something that she did notice about herself. Her throat was very dry and she felt a little dizzy. A clear sign to her that she was dehydrated and thus needed to find herself a source of water to quench her thirst.

As Diane began to glance the environment around her, she struggled to see what she is looking for. From her point of view, all she could fields and forests as far as the eye could see. There were still several small towns that she could see off in the distance, but nothing that looked like a body of water.

That was until a couple of miles away from where she was standing, she could see what looked to be a small lake. There didn't seem to be any buildings of any kind around it at all. To her, this was the perfect place for her to get a drink and she began the walk towards it with a slight spring in her step.

For a regular person, this walk would have taken a little time to travel the distance. But thanks to her towering height and in particular her long legs, she was able to make the trip in less than a minute. The water had seemed somewhat calm although there were ripples that ran through it thanks to her footsteps.

There was a small amount of fear that went through her very large body as she thought that this lake might cause her to change once more. This did make her reluctant to start drinking from it straight away. The last thing she wanted was to grow even more, in her mind she was already tall enough.

If she had another encounter with a lake similar to the one that she had accidentally stepped in. Her height would be in the thousands of feet and it was likely that she would have been elongated further. Her head would go through the clouds above and her legs would make up an even higher percentage of her height.

The lake itself looked as though it was any normal body of water one would see in such an area. There didn't seem like there was anything to it that could cause such a bizarre change to take place. Then again, she could have said the same for the previous lake and she would be a fool to forget what happened then.

Carefully, Diane knelt down to the lake and placed her finger into it. She waited for a few moments to see whether there would be another change in her overall size. Her heart was beating quickly in her chest and she could feel it, she didn't realise that it had grown slightly during her previous change.

Much to her relief, she noticed that there was still no change in her body. When she took her finger out of the water, she looked to see if it was any different to how it had been before. Although it was still very long like the rest of her fingers, it hadn't stretched any longer or gotten shorter.

This was all the confirmation that Diane needed as she placed her lips down into the lake and found herself drink the water itself. It was cool, refreshing and exactly what she needed in order to quench her thirst. With the largest gulps that the world had ever seen, the lake that had been relatively small to begin with began to find itself being drained.

The elongated giantess continued to drink from it and didn't even notice that numerous fish were being drunk along with the water. In a way, she was also feeding herself at the same time, but the amount that she consumed in that regard was nothing compared to the large meal that she had enjoyed in Hallford.

"Ah that's much better," said Diane as she sat herself up and whipped her mouth with her long forearm. She was also glad that her belly hadn't become bloated like it had before and for all intents and purposes, things were normal.

This changed when Diane looked at the lake and could see that it looked different to how it had before. Although to her, it had been a small lake, it had been a lake nonetheless. Now it looked as though it was a puddle since now the majority of the water had been drunk out of it. Whatever fish were remaining were now jumping around and gasping for air since the water that they depended on for their lives was now gone.

To the elongated giantess, she couldn't fully comprehend what she was seeing. And in her stunned silence, she got back up to her feet and began to walk away. Almost as if she was walking away from a grizzly crime and thought that it was best to never speak of this again. Since now, she had wiped away an entire body of water off the map.

Some miles away, the people of Hallford were still trying to get by, even though all of their crops and livestock by Diane. There hadn't been anything that could be considered a scrap of food left in the entire town. Because of this, there had been emergency rations sent to the town as soon as word had reached others about what had taken place.

Worse still for the townspeople was that they hadn't been able to sleep properly either. The extremely loud sound of snoring had kept them awake for longer than any of them cared to remember. It was still hard for them to believe that one person, even someone like Diane had been able to consume as much food as she had.

Where she had once been seen as a hero, now she was looked upon with unfavourable eyes. Her name would likely go down in history as the giant who had taken almost everything from them and then simply walked away without a care. None really knew that she had simply not been aware of her actions. Even so, many would say that this didn't excuse what she had done to them.

But it was also on this morning that many of them noticed two strangers arriving in town. Normally the people of Hallford would have been welcoming towards outsiders but after what had taken place with Diane, this was something that they were seriously reconsidering. But there was something about these strangers that definitely caught their attention the moment that they were spotted.

The one woman was probably the largest human woman that they had ever seen. She stood at an impressive seven feet in height with an athletic frame that seemed give her the perfect combination of strength and speed. Her hair was relatively short and black with her eyes being green in colour. With her she carried a large sword and shield and looked to be a knight. Although she lacked armour and instead wore clothing that made her looked almost too normal. Her face was relatively plain and it was clear that she couldn't sway people with good looks.

The other woman was a couple of feet shorter with long blonde hair and blue eyes. She had a petite figure and her clothing consisted of a long dress that was purple in colour. On top of her head sat a large, pointy hat that was a slightly lighter colour than her dress. She also what looked to be a magical staff which was as long as she was tall. Unlike her companion, she had a very pretty face and a body that many others would be jealous of.

No one knew who these women were unknown to the people of Hallford, it was likely that they would learn soon enough. But whether they were there to help them or cause them further harm was yet to be seen. Although they didn't think that they could do any worse than Diane had already done for them.
