Description
A Caeculid mite from Waipori gorge. They are stunning animals with remarkably complex morphology (that takes a painful amount of time to sketch out). There is a common theme with predatory mites being low on abundance in my leaf litter samples (over 50,000 mites collected in one visit of which less than a hundred are predatory and only three examples of this Caeculid).Related content
