Forsteropsalis sp. observed at Woodhaugh garden, chilling on a tree trunk. Spiders are great, but they do have a habit of stealing the spot light when it comes to discussing Chelicerates and Opiliones (and mites and pseudoscorpions) tend to get forgotten. This forms somewhat of a positive feed back loop as the lesser known arachnids tend to have less taxonomic work done of them, which feeds into their obscurity. They have some amazing traits, such as extreme omnivory (they don't mind rotting plants and will drink ink if they can get away with it). They also have some elaborate courtship rituals were the males pair of with those spikey clubed claws for control of the females.
