I thought of an idea for two effects that could pile up in a Yume Nikki fan game. Imagine there is an area with Stalagmites that are blocking your way. You could use a gravity or ground effect to bring them up to the ceiling. Then you could use a light ability to create light beams with jellyfish in them. Kinda like these tanks in aquariums:
