Description This is one of my favourite scenes in Shaun of The Dead. I couldn't resist whipping it up one busy week. I am SO sorry to have left out the mum but I couldn't quite fit her in this concept.
See if you can find references to some other British shows these guys star in.

From left to right: Pete Serafinowicz, Tamsin Greig, Dylan Moran (as Harry Potter), Jessica Hynes, Simon Pegg, Lucy Davis, Martin Freeman, and Nick Frost.

Credits:

- Oscar Wright's t-shirt design "I GOT WOOD"

Good one. Great Job. You also redid one of my fav scenes. lol.

I remember from the first time I saw the movie, Dylan Moran somehow reminded me of Harry Potter

Haha yeah. This scene really does it for me. Did you know the David character in Shaun of the Dead was Dylan Moran's suggestion?

Oh me too! I used to be quite a big fan of The Office (British version) so I was thrilled to see him making an appearance in this film.

Turkey13 In reply to a4anner [2009-07-11 00:49:13 +0000 UTC]

I was glad to see he got a bit of a bigger role in Hot Fuzz, another great movie. Maybe he'll be in the third of the "Blood and Ice Cream trilogy" movie "The World's End". Who knows? Edgar Wright seems to use the same British actors (that's not a bad thing).

a4anner In reply to Turkey13 [2009-10-28 10:17:33 +0000 UTC]

Yeah totally! I'm so looking forward to seeing the last of their trilogy! - Never fails to make me crave Cornetto.
I like the combination of most of these British actors too. Have you watched Spaced?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Turkey13 In reply to a4anner [2010-03-24 04:15:27 +0000 UTC]

Oh, cornettos, they're delicious, but unfortunately, we seem to have a shortage of them in my area (sad face). I haven't watched Spaced yet, but I heard it was PHENOMENAL!

a4anner In reply to Turkey13 [2010-03-28 03:29:14 +0000 UTC]

Oooh but you must! I think a few episodes of Spaced can be found on Youtube - or at least that's how I started watching them anyway

Lol when I first saw the movie, when they first showed David and Di, I remember saying, "They kinda looks like Harry Potter and Britney Spears." In the cast commentary....Simon Pegg says just that in the opening scene. BRILLIANT

Well, technically i'm a fan of anything with Simon Pegg in it.
Or related to him in some way.

Awesome work here, I'm gonna check out your gallery!

Nice job!

I like the aged look to the image, and how the lettering/title blends in with the background colours so it doesn't detract from characters.

I also like how you've played on the characters and made them represent their 'alternate characters' in other shows... although I'm having a little trouble placing a few of them... well one actually. Who's the guy with the beanie on (second from the left)? I haven't seen this flick in such a long time, so I don't remember it all too well, but the character that Nick Frost played was my definite favourite from what I do remember.

On a totally unrelated topic, did you hear that a bunch of writers have been hired to pen a draft for an upcoming Ghostbusters 3? Oooooh... we'll see if this ends up going anywhere!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

a4anner In reply to misterdin [2008-09-11 14:36:47 +0000 UTC]

Thanks Daniel.
The character wearing the beanie is none but the lovable female comedian Tamsin Greig from Black Books. Haha.
And I agree. Nick Frost's character was very funny.

I DID hear about the new GB3 being in production. I'm vastly disappointed they couldn't leave it alone. I just hope it'd be the same cast as the first 2 original movies.
