Never thought I'd see the day on that one; but, Ultimate seems quite the definitive Smash entry, so it's a fitting inclusion.

Hheyy!! I was super excited, that was an incredible E3 Direct as always!!!
I am still super disappointed that she's still just Peach, but apparently if I'm understanding it right, the Echo Fighters will actually still have slightly different stats as well, which would make sense with Lucina since her whole mechanic was supposed to use her whole sword instead of the just the tip like Marth which gave her her own slot.. And I did enjoy playing as Peach before so I guess it's not as bad as her just being a color palette..

Indeed, there was a plethora of pretty things on display.
Oh, I'm sure she'll have her own unique Daisy flair. She did have different animations and (possibly different) move physics; so yes, like Lucina and Pit, she'll be unique but similar enough to still be considered an "echo".
Samus' changes seem pretty helpful and will be fun to explore.
It's interesting to see the return of mid-air dodging: perhaps there's some attempt to reestablish interest within the Melee community. Could this mean the return of wave-dashing...?
SSB:U may very well replace the two current titles in my collection; it seems to encompass everything great about Smash, so here's hoping it's well worth the exchange. Perhaps some stage time is in the near future!
All's well on the reply delay; our time on DA has also diminished as a result of the joys of simply being, and being together.

And I figured you'd be enjoying new Samus things. I'm sure picking this up will be a perfect replacement, it is after all, SSB 6! (It seems not a lot of people know that Sakurai considered Smash for 3DS to be the 4th and Smash for Wii U the 5th!) So don't worry, this is a whole new game, even if they started with the previous title as a foundation.
As for my time on FA, I hope it does too. It's moving a long and I'm not managing two different brands. Not hard, but it'd be nice to get some engagement in my work. At least I'm enjoying doing my work regardless..

Very interesting: that does makes sense, as the 3DS version was released first. Good bit of trivia, that!
All's well: I recently had some time to view some SSB:U Treehouse Live videos from E3 and the recent Smash Direct from 2018.08.08, so I'm quite pleased with all that's going into this title. If you somehow haven't yet seen the Direct, please do, as there are more revelations that would be spoiled here.
This truly does look to be the Ultimate iteration, and Sakurai said he really doesn't know how they'll be able to do this much again.
I hope that translates to this being the Smash Bros. to play for a good long while.

Well at least they put forth the effort to make some changes. I agree it would be great if she had her own moves, but at least we got Daisy. Plus considering the roster I can't fault them too hard since like Dark Pit. Daisy using modified Peach moves would have saved time and space.
