Description
Recently I've been very monochromatic in my pictures, so this time I present you something in colour.Done today morning in about half an hour, after whole night spent at work (cursed be stock-takings!) - I was too tired to go to bed
Say'ida of Miharshoon (renegade clan from Kordeth) - Moebius' sister (step sister actually) and a banjak priestess gifted with theurgic powers.

*shudders* You like to scare us, right?
*shivers* It's awesome ... but I don't like internal organs outside of the body ... and all that blood >.<

Scare? No... Not intentionally! :]
About organs and blood - well, they are an internal part of the banjak rites. Espacially in 'deep' ukari clans. Those living next to the surface (called 'allied' are often using animals or totems as their offerings... mostly because of the influence of human culture). Deep clans are using their enemies, as the tradition demands

*shudders* Well ... either way >.<
It's really cool though ... but I'm not good with blood.
Luckily, you just drew it ... no shiny-sparkly blood drops and the like ... sorry, but when it comes to that I'm a sissy >.<
I wouldn't survive one of those sacrificing ceremonies ...

Heheh... Well, I don't mind blood, so it's preety easy for me to draw it.
Also, I really enjoyed playing Say'ida (she's one of my Fading Suns characters, actually), altough - or maybe because of - the fact that she had lots of fights with the rest of team members (human nobles). They wanted her to act in human way, while she refused to cast away her ukari heritage and her faith :] Besides, she couldn't understand why human are killing each other without hesitation, but keeping their war prisioners alive, waisting money and food for them... Everyone knows, that honorable death is way better than slavery. Ad it is honor to become an offering to gods So she foud people very soft and hard to understand which caused many interesting situations

o_0 I bet she found them confusing ...
I get her motives, though ... but I'd rather be kept prisoner than become a sacrifice, thank you very much >.<

Sure, as most of us
Yet also one must remember, that ukari are living deep under the surface of the planet (as it's impossible to survive very long under the Kordeth sun) in very severe sourroundings with limited resources. The clan ties means everything to them and they are very wary when it comes to strangers. They also believe that their gods made them live on such desolate planet as Kordeth to test them and make them stronger and tougher.
*grins* My, I simply love this race ^^

*shudders* Great ... I keep that in mind if I ever meet one of them.
But honestly ... I'm not too keen on that. Might be interesting, I even get the clan identity and all ... but I don't want to have to prove myself all the time >.<

Well ... but biologically they're human too, right?
Yes, they sound very interesting ... and I guess I like them. But I wouldn't want to meet them for real, I guess ... unless it's on the surface where they're in the minority

Not exactly. They look a bit like humans but they have very pale skin, white/silver hair and their eyes are totally black. Also, their bone structure is slightly different and they are much agile (yet have less strenght) than humans. Their senses are way much keen, especially touch, as they live in darkness. Every ukar also posess psychic powers - some strogner, some weaker... But always. And they aren't treating it as something very special - which often confuses humans who are afraid of psychics (imagine yourself that talking to someone you never know if he isn't reading your thoughts or planning to control your mind... or simply stop your heartbeat with one thought - kinda spooky, no?)

Well ... ok ... their genetics are close enough to ours though.
But interesting ... now,that I'm curious it's hard to be spooked >.<
I can understand the tactile abilities ... they'd be more than useful.
But yes, the psychic abilities would be scary ... if I wasn't curious about them now ... I know ... I'd so die in an environment that's not as gentle as ours. Simply by poking everything and saying:"Ooooh - that's cool, what is it?"
One of those creatures/beings/ whatevers would simply rip my head off >.<

Yes, the genetics are close - but not close enough to mix those two species and having the prodigy (at least that's the official version). The ukari has their own legends and beliefs that says, that they are the first and most beloved children of the gods, made to be warriors. Human are younger children, sort of failed experiment, not enough skilled and too soft.

*grins* Well ... that screams for a "test me!" doesn't it? >.<
Luckily, I can't test it, though (Wouldn't it be odd ... me trying to have an Ukari baby, just to prove them all wrong o_0)
Well ... yes ... we are too soft >.<
