Because I feel like a lot of people here could relate to this. Sadly, life is not always rainbows and butterflies, crap happens, and personally I have always used my art as an escape. I know there are plenty of other people who do the same, even if the problems they face are different than mine, we all have this in common. :II'm really not that comfortable with drawing humans yet, so yes I am aware that there are mistakes. :T
I hope that there are some people that find this relatable!
Oh, and no, I am not in a bad mood right now guys, thanks for the concern though! This was drawn as a way of showing why I enjoy drawing fantasy more than drawing from life (though I do still do it for practice sometimes, I just don't submit it) The point of this was only to show why sometimes art is such a wonderful way of escaping into your imagination.

Very relate-able.
None of us are running out on reality.
But a lot of us are turning it on its ear and having way too much fun with it.

I relate to this so hard.
But there are people out there, I feel from personal experience, who understand that you draw for fun and as a release.
And more often than not, those people are friends more than family, and friends are people who you choose to make time for.
So essentially, make friends with good people, and youll turn it from an escape into a form of expression

Ah, but copying from life can also help make your visions more realistic with things like gestures and expressions. It's not all bad.

So many times have I deamt of leaving this terrible place to be somewhere ... serene. Away from the other people, away from deceitfulness and hatred and judgement. To listen to Hammock - and other beaufiful music that no one has ever heard of - out in a natural area with my little family. To row a boat out onto a lake and lay down and just ... finally be at peace.
To ride our horses out to a meadow and build a funky little tent/house out of cardboard boxes and duct tape just for the heck of doing it.
That is one my dreams.

I feel this way too. Which is why I hadn't drawin any humans until I was into anime. Why draw from life if you are bored or saddened by it? The same reason why people read books too.

But since a couple months, I've just been focusing on drawing real life stuff o3o Like, people and animals, and it's not just because I want to finally be able to draw some fan art of some characters, for myself, but also because I want to capture life c: Because I really enjoy it and love life ;w; Which sounds really cliched, oh my god xD But basically^
I barely post that stuff, either vwv I'd prefer not to post any human drawings here until I'm better at them, although I did post one on Tumblr
Also, I love this drawing ;w; I reallyyyyy love that scene of Auz flying over the sea, with the dolphins jumping below her <'3 And you just keep improving! :'D

I agree, drawing from life really does help you get a lot better! (I may actually be taking some figure drawing classes soon heheuhe) I really do enjoy life too for the most part, I guess this really did come out really mopie, because sometimes you really can just get into a lil funk. Because life likes to throw curve balls your way :"D But yeah for the most part I really do enjoy everything in my life, and pretty much everything is going good now. (sorry if that was a little reamble-ie??)
And I really don't post any of my other stuff either, mostly because I am not quite confident in those sorts of things yet either.

I know EXACTLY what you're saying because that is just how I feel a lot of times... It's why I draw and create these stories because I can be who I really feel on the inside and can do things I never would have gotten the chance to do through my characters. You're not alone... <3

I can relate to this so well its actually sad. I've asked family members who are in or were in the art world about my art to have them say that i should do realism, and while i see the beauty of realism, I don't want to draw that xD...Let us draw Dragons always, just to spite them xD
Btw i find your human drawing quite good as well as your amazing dragons...keep at it

The day that an artist can truly free themselves of their shackles shall discover that they cannot only change the world insides themselves, but also the world around them. Escape not just inwardly, but let out what it is inside your heart.

This is all too relatable. My friends don't understand, even the few who draw. They don't get why I like drawing so much. They won't understand why. They may never. I fill my mind with happiness in alternate worlds. Where problems come with solutions. I don't like turning to reality. Nobody understands me.

Ive noticed alot of people put a ton of effort into pics like this whenever one is sad or upset or something, yet I could really feel the emotion behind this comic and I honestly feel and concur the same way you do.
