Because I feel like a lot of people here could relate to this. Sadly, life is not always rainbows and butterflies, crap happens, and personally I have always used my art as an escape. I know there are plenty of other people who do the same, even if the problems they face are different than mine, we all have this in common. :II'm really not that comfortable with drawing humans yet, so yes I am aware that there are mistakes. :T
I hope that there are some people that find this relatable!
Oh, and no, I am not in a bad mood right now guys, thanks for the concern though! This was drawn as a way of showing why I enjoy drawing fantasy more than drawing from life (though I do still do it for practice sometimes, I just don't submit it) The point of this was only to show why sometimes art is such a wonderful way of escaping into your imagination.

I believe that everyone has this feeling. They always taught us to draw from real life but that always leads us to draw imaginary creature, lands that we wish to be in. Well that's my way of putting it.

I definitely know a few people who feel like this! Not to mention myself, even though I'm not a drawing artist.
I love reading, but I almost exclusively read sci-fi and fantasy. People ask me why I do not read stuff from reality, but, why would I do that when I can experience those things outside of books?

That's awesome! And yes, that would be the same reason I might want to get into the entertainment industry as some sort of concept illustrator. To help people escape for a little while and just enjoy the wonder of another world.

I have a Bachelor of Arts in Character Animation that I took at The Animation Workshop in Viborg, Denmark (where I currently live) but right now I work as a freelancer

I know the feeling, but I can always cheer up if I can take my mind off of reality by doing something with my time. Like drawing, playing video games, or even reading a good book. Not to mention listening to music. Try it out next time, and le your cares melt away as you kick zombie butt, create whole worlds, laugh and cry with you favourite characters, or dance the days and nights away. It really helps me, perhaps it'll do you too.

A beautiful and touching piece of art ! You really managed to put a lot of emotion in it. I admire the way you play with the expression of the character, the smiles of the imaginary world contrasting with the sad faces of the real one. The color and light are much vivid in the fantasy too, creating a strong emotional contrast.
Sometimes, like in the last picture, some of this light might shine on us, right ?

I will never like
draw characters that DON'T have some sort of fantasy bond,
I would at least give the human characters clothes that would be found in like
i cant explain it lol
stuff that we don't wear? lol

I totally know that probably you will not reply this, you're a busy person and I understand that. I will only say a bunch of things related to your little comic here.
In fact,reality can be the fantasy if you can balance the things. this is what I do. Some people could cal me autist,and I think I agree with it, but in my case, I am ery well knowing my "real reality".Wen in my job,I pay atention wen learning and just pop up to my little world wen working,on my rotine I do this all the times, imaginating that I can transform myself on a dragon or anything,but aways guarding secret of this. No one here in my country would understand me and I accepted it.I agree completely with your art here,but I agree too that, if you got the right friends here on DA or in real life, you can be wathever you want on both. Just use the imagination and you can go FAR away xD
One example? when Iam riding my bike, I aways thing that I am flying, and it works
