I present to you a digital finished artwork, after such a long time. The manga seems to be coming to an end, but we never know what Kishi-sensei has to deliver, with that twisty brain of his.

About the artwork: I've never really felt satisfied with how I do digital art; there was always something missing. And through this, i discovered that something: flavor. I portrayed Naru and Obi in a different way, a different outlook, and i feel satisfied with that. I used to use countless images and textures for reference previously in my digital artworks, but this was entirely shaded from the head. I of course used references for the poses from the manga. Lighting was tricky, but =Eddy-Shinjuku sensei is always to the rescue xD Glad to have learnt from you, sensei, I will deliver many more if you continue guiding me! I know there are many mistakes, but I tried my best!

Also, notice the leaf symbol is different on each headband; I wanted to experiment xD

Metaphors: I feel I should let the viewers interpret this in their own way (if you are willing to discuss, please leave a comment), but what I feel when I drew this was that two opposite, yet two similar people, reflected only by the choice of the path each chose in life, are calling out to me. I can go either way: but I dont know how I may end up. One thing is for sure, though. They lend me their hand.

Tools: SAI for the lines, Photoshop for coloring, Manga for the pose, Wacom Bamboo for its general awesomeness.
