Description
EDIT : OK its not waterbending, kamehameha or anything.... JUST A NO-STORYBOARD ON-THE-SPOT random animation that I made by looking at myself doing the same action in a mirror!!!!!This is only 1 percent flash! XD
ALL of the frames were drawn in Photoshop, flash was used only for the preloader
Weeeeeee after such a long time, I finally got to do something digital xD
I was at my friends place for about 5 hrs and i used that time to create a simple LOOPING 2D animation!!!

i draw each and every frame of what i observe, add timing to each of them, and play them all in a fast-forward motion so it looks like 35 pictures are going in front of your eyes in 2 seconds! ^_^

One time I tried making an animation...it's easy I guess, but I use cartoons and anime characters.My first animation was made on Flash because my brother had it on his computer...I was 7 years old and I made an animation of a cute dog smiling and going neutral again.My brother was impressed with such little thing...
some months ago I downloaded a demo of an animation software and made an animation of an anime eye closing...I like it :3 but still I couldn't work with another animation software except Adobe Flash but I never found the download for that again...

oh flash is a little easier than photoshop. but if you are good at drawing, then you can find photshop much much easier to use, indeed! xD keep at it, i know you will be awesome at it someday xDDD

very fluid and nice to look at... 5 hours seems pretty quick! you must have a good feel for animation already

hehe thanks xDD oh you know, the movement was pretty restricted, Amit..... you can see not much is going on in the lower body.... only the hands are doin the talking... Plus, it was a real life reference, so that halves the time... Also, added factor is the sketchines and the blobines.... you dont need to be accurate to get the perfect result in this kind of animation xD all in all, it was an interesting experiment for me, and i will do another more "exagerrated" one in the future xDDD

wow, it seems like things just worked in your favor this time, huh? I can imagine the ending of an episode of the anime "Izanagi's Art Adventures"... the villain (Evil Father Time) comes forth after Izanagi completes yet another animation:
"You did well this time this time.... but next time, I WILL stop you!!!"

Jokes aside, I still think this is awesome work!! You managed to make me not care about anything but the motion, and that came out great!! Looking forward to that exaggerated one coming up!!! I bet it'll be awesome!!!

LOL i didnt, dude! ^_^ i drew the key poses, and obviously used those to draw the in-betweens! ^_^ there were some overlapping areas which i needed to use the previous frames to draw, for those i did trace em off the previous frames, thats all!

i really find it a little offending (i'm sure you will understand why, considering your DD fiasco) if people misunderstand me! ^_^ As a traditional animator for over 3 years, sketchy animation really comes to me naturally! ^_^

Yeah man, I know what it's like when people don't respect your work! It just looked traced, that's all. I just assumed, because there's so much of that junk in the online art community... way too many people faking it.

i think my sketchy way of drawing (overlapping the lines too much) gave it that feel.. but i dont know how to draw any other way at the moment, LOL XD traditionally, i used to draw clear and clean lines before, but i think you know how they say that your strokes reflect your mood???? i think, perhaps with all tahts goin on around me, messy is all i can do for now...
On another note, i wish you get more love and attention; your works demand it ^_^

No, the sketchiness isn't what did it, it was the quality of the movements that seemed like a video. Animators often like to exaggerate movements to add dynamic flair, as well as focus on lines of motion, energy, weight transfer, twisting forms, etc. So it's strange for your work to have good fluidity, good proportion, good 3d form but to lack the traditional animator's flair. That's why it seemed traced at first. I hope it makes sense, it's a hard thing to explain, hahaha.
Also, I know the animator you mentioned in the description. I assume you're seen his World Spins Madly On animation? Blowa. My. Mind. I'm going to watch it again. I love it, hahaha.
And thanks, haha. Right now I'm focusing in improvement instead of exposure. I figure that once I get good, the attention will come, so yeah. If you draw it, they will come

Ryan really is my inspiration. Indeed, i saw each and every one of his animations... i used to do only realistic animations in the past. i did no attempt at even putting the slightest amount of originality in them, and tehy looked, well, "bland".
but his "Thought of You" inspired me to add some dynamism into the animation that gives it a more "out of the world" feel. However, still a long way to go, as you have rightly mentioned! ^_^
And your final words are true, as well! i am sure they will, indeed! ^_^

Haha, I'm glad you know what I mean. I think you'll do quite well if you continue animating. Something that may help add dynamics to your animations is to take gymnastics, dance or martial arts. Just a thought.
