Description
Yet another artwork of mine featured in Ninjago Zine vol. 2! This one is from Ninjago's Day of the Departed. I think I painted this like in October? Dunno, but I still like it ^^Here's link to the zine:

Man! And this is so freakin' great too! O.O It ALL PAINTED!!! And in such a masterful way. I'm just like... wow!
I really like how you've kept the lego look this time, and I think it fits really well. But man, those details even on lego characters are absolutely stunning. Just looking at Cole's arms is something I could do all day. That orange/golden glow is super cool!
And that clothing!!! You even managed to add wonderful folds to it and all the tiny details like his belt, the straps, or the metal... thingies look just incredibly detailed! And don't even get me started on that elemental symbol on his chest. The way it reflects both the greenish aura AND a little bit of that gold glow from the arms, is just incredible attention to detail.
So of course, I can keep on going about the background too, but... I've been ranting about how cool this looks for way too long now. So let me just say that it looks amazing overall!

yEAh I just scrolled up to see whatcha mean by ''don't even get me started on that elemental symbol on his chest'' and I didn't even realize I sorta made it the focus of the painting because it stands out so annoyignly much

Annoyingly much? Dude, I think that's a great element. It just looks really cool and shiny.
Hehe, no problem.
And you might think it's a simple background, but there is so much to love about it! The texture of the moon, how it's not just a glowing ball, is nice. Plus the little rays of light make the scene look sort of more... dramatic! Then there are those lanterns! They could've been just glowing green orbs too, but you can actually see the flames inside them! (Either that, or I'm seeing things. ) And then there is the rift. Once again, looks great! It gives off its own light and just helps to drag the attention towards the sky a bit more too. Plus it has those faint beams of light too, which is really cool!
(Yeah, I kept going, didn't I? But hey, you asked what I meant, so here's your answer.
