By the way, am I the only one that thinks that third-season Maggie was evil, but the fourth-and-fifth season ones were actually human beings INSTEAD of tramps?

Hard for me to say since i think good and evil are empty meeningless concepts. From what i remember, Maggie in the third season was acting more like a soldier, but in the next seasons she considered her own feelings and the feelings of others more often, which made her appear "more human"...

Soldier? *holds back laugh* Ever see "The Breeder"? Maggie was just brought into the series as a ratings-booster. Fox decided the series needed some sort of sex icon to get the numbers up, and they wouldn't settle for Sabrina Lloyd. If it were me deciding what to do, I would've kept John Rhys-Davies and added Kari Wuhrer. (Imagine seven sliders. WHEE!)

As i understood it, your question was about Maggies behaviour ("am I the only one that thinks that third-season Maggie was evil"), so her being a sex icon has nothing to do with it. I'v seen the third season quite a long time ago so i might be wrong about her acting like a soldier, but that's how i remember it...
I'm not sure if i saw "The Breeder"... Tell me what it is and maybe i'll remember it (or not, if i didn't see it...)
And what do you meen 7? Quinn, Waid, Rammy, The proffessor, Maggie, and? You meen Colin and that black scientist chick (don't remember her name...)

The Breeder is about the Sliders encountering some sort of parasite on a world that they're about to slide out of, and Maggie happens to have one cling to her face and deposit its egg down her throat. It eventually takes over her bodily functions (And it creates a sort of lizard-scale thing over her eyes, which is cool-looking.) and turns her into a whore.
And yes, I meant those specific people about the seven Sliders. That Mallory guy can go burn. XD

Ah yes, i remember that one. Still think it's irelevant to her being "evil" in the third season...
And about the 7 sliders, at first i wanted to say that it's too much, but then i remembered "Buffy The Vampire Slayer", "Angel" and "Firefly" (my 3 favorite shows 
And Mellory... I don't even know why they put HIM in the group...

Mallory was just there because...well, he's one of those people that's just there. Would've been better if they just killed off Quinn due to a timer accident rather than merging him with a double. (Total overkill.)
Diana was a good theoretical scientist and would've made a good addition to the team. Why? Because that way Quinn and Arturo wouldn't feel like they were in a complete group of idiots.

Well, the Sliders always DID have a nice sense of togetherness, though, I think that one more smart person would allow the group to formulate efficient plans quicker. o_o

I drew this more then 6 years ago so i don't remember if i intebded Remmy to already be in there or to be late... If i remember correctly, i just didn't manage to draw him
And yeah, the show started good and then just got bad as the time went, hitting the lowest point with that "other Quinn"... And when i saw that part when Quinn's mom told him he's from another world i was like "wtf?? why?!?"
But Colin WAS nice

I'm rewatching Sliders at the moment
Almost all of the Kromagg line is weird... Just in my opinion... And this Mallory guy... He looks like a Terminator >.<
It's a damn pity the promised movie featuring the original four was cancelled >.<
Maybe there could be a possibility to launch an RPG or a MMORPG... It's just a matter of gathering a lot of sliders fans. Concepts and etc. it's the matter of time

Hmm... An MMORPG of sliders would probably be VERY hard to do... But an RPG realy could be cool. A friend of mine wanted to run a game with a similar concept, but unfortunately he doesn't have the time for it...
And i had NO idea there was soposed to be a movie! Guess i'm not that much of a fan

Well Tracy Torme (or the co-creator, don't remember his name) had an idea of a movie if I'm not mistaken, but there were so many problems so the production didn't even start =\ Though the movie was going to feature original cast... >.<
Yeah, a MMORPG would be pretty hard but possible... Though the concepts need a really hard work.... And a single-player RPG would rather be a quest... Or, if based on the latest seasons, an action-game... >.< Quest would be much better in my opinion than an action

Well, D&D is just a set of rules. Other games, such as Vempire: The Masquerade for example, have different sets of rules. Which meens that a Sliders game would probably have it's own, special rules. And if not, ther's always free form, which is basicaly playing with no rules, usind dies only to make decisions that you would rather have luck responsible for, and not the game master.

I definitely think it would be cool to have a Sliders MMO, though, I'm wondering, how would the vortex look? It varied throughout the series. (Though, if I had to pick, I'd say the one from the second Season Four episode/Early Season Five.)
Also, I'm wondering how sliding would be done in 2-D. (Unless it were 3-D, then it's a different story.

Today it would probably be 3D. But what i wonder is what the story would look like. After all, it's soposed to be something that people would enjoy playing with thousands of other players, and the gameplay must be interesting for a long time.
I think they would have to make ALOT of different worlds, and make them all interesting to explore. That would probably be hard to pull off...
That's the reason i think it would be easyer to make a single player or a pen and paper game... But if they manage to make an inteersting MMO, that would be amazing

And yeah, when they started changing the sliders, the show just go lame (Hey, let's make another Quin, but he won't look like Quin cos we can't use that actor anymore...)

I agree that theres nothign liek the original cast but you gotta admit that Maggie was pretty awesome. I would not of midned having her in the original cast.
Dianna was cool too, not as good as the rest but she was fun enough

Maggie was a nice character in the beginning. But then the whole military-officer-practical-surviver thing faded out and she became just one not-that-special member of the group.
The cast was never realy the problem anyway. It was the story... I actualy read about how they made the show and the reason it got ruined is right in the open.
When the show started, every episode spoke about different philosofical, social, political, historical issues. What would happen if the communists won the cold war? If the world would limit it's population? If american colonies never won the war for independance? If dinasours still existed? If peniciline was never invented? If scientists were the most respected people in the world?
But then (owh what a surprise), some network managers, that know how to make money, but not stories, descided they want the show to be more popular, therefore, profitable. So they killed the boring scientist guy, threw in a hot chick, and made an action show where every episode is a different movie type... Zombies episode, body snachers episode, hunted house episode, vampires episode. One episode looked like H.Wels' "Time Mashine"... The main story turned from "Trying to find the way home" into "Fighting scary evil guys"... And that just wasn't it...

I cried when they killed the prof.. he was my favourite character..
But yea.. the begining of the series was deffinately better. But at least the actor went on to bigger better things. Lord of the rings was probably more popular than sliders :: sigh ::

קראתי. כמו שאמרתי, הרעיון הראשוני היה מגניב כבר אז. כך שאם ידבקו בו, רימייק יכול להיות ממש מגניב. אבל צריך גם שהאחראים על הסדרה לא יהיו מפגרים. קח את פיירפלי לדוגמה. סדרה עדירה! כ"כ טובה שעשו ממנה סרט! והרגו אותה אחרי עונה אחת אלוהים יודע למה... וכששידרו אותה אז בהתחלה לא הראו את שני הפרקים הראשונים כי מנהלי הרשת החליטו שהם "משעממים מדי". זה הפקינג התחלה של הסדרה! וזה שנים מהפרקים הכי מגניבים! (אגב אם אני לא טועה זה אותה הרשת שהוציא את סליידרס...)
כך שסידרה טובה היא כלום אם אנשים מפגרים מקבלים את ההחלטות...
