I know- I've literally been waiting for it for years. I think I read about it online a year or so after the last LotR movie came out. I finally saw a trailer recently and am psyched! They seem to have all the songs and troll scene (some of my favorite parts that I was afraid would get cut). I'm glad they split it up into two parts so they could get everything in, but waiting for the second one will be torture. D:
Also, the dwarves have pretty wimpy beards (for the most part). I get that there has to be some visual difference, and they're mostly okay (if often too short), but Thorin- he doesn't even look like a dwarf. Fili and Kili don't either really.

Ohmygod I know. Have you seen Peter Jackson's production behind the scenes videos?! They're godly. Godly, I tell you! And the fact that it's like, Sherlock Holmes meets The Hobbit makes me just roll around with joy. I can't tell you how much it's been affecting my life. Like. It's all I do. Fan art. Like. Ohgod.
I can't draw people and I'm subjecting you all to seeing it on here. LOL.

I have not. I haven't seen anything past the trailer, but I want it to be a bit of a surprise (relatively, seeing as I've read the book several times).
