Another one.I managed to all but finish the tail over the weekend.
And then I did an experiment by folding up the wing bones to see what would happen. This is the result: HUGE wings, but they look like I imagined. The rigged model will give me brain fuzz here - I can feel it!
BTW, this is the first render out of DAZ Studio (Iray). No funky bits in the mesh, so that is looking OK too.
Other than that I have to go back and thicken up a few bones, enlarge the front paws, etc. But the basic parts are modeled, and that is a win.

I used a lot of equine, feline and canine references for the skull. The reptilian approach doesn't really sit well with me when I do dragons.
