Helping the Rikudō Sennin against the Jūbi, Godzilla was given its name after the beasts defeat. Not much is known about him except for the fact he never attacks humans or animals unless provoked. Some say he's a Guardian watching over the land.
He's fought countless battles (and won every one) until his famous battle with Kurama (Kyūbi no Yoko) alongside the Yondaime Hokage. It was during that day he sealed himself into an orphan boy who was named, "Masato Ishiguro".
