Description

I took a little stroll around the park.
That freaking orange with those eyes and smile. They’ll NEVER leave my head.
I had to sit on a bench and think of a way to find another job.
Working at a pizzeria with a creepy orange wasn’t a great idea.
Then some man was standing next to me.
I looked at him and he looked back at me.
He said “Is this seat taken?”
I said “Oh, no you can sit here.”
The guy looked friendly though and I don’t wanna be rude.
As he sat next to me, he starts rambling about something.
“I am close to giving up on humanity. I mean, I woke up and my wife left me. I can’t live without her. I lost my job and now my love.”
As pointless as this is, I can’t help but relate to the guy. I lost my job too and I wish I can comfort him.
“The last thing my wife told me before she left is ‘I just joined a cult and I’m staying in it forever.’”
I asked him with concern “Can you say that again?”
The man said “I’m close to giving up on humanity”
“No no! The last thing you said!” I told him.
He just kept staring at me and says “I forgot.”
Looks like he’s not the only one who is close to giving up on humanity.
I didn’t want to tell him this but I did “Tell me why are you close to giving up on humanity?”
Then he starts rambling the whole thing again.
Something about his wife joining a cult?
Oh no…. Don’t tell me…
I asked him another question.
“When did you get fired?”
“Tomorrow.” He said quickly.
That was an…unexpected answer. Is this guy messing with me?
I asked him another question.
“When did your wife leave you?”
“At 3:30am” He said in tears.
Uh oh….that’s an witching hour.
I will not stand by and let this evil cult force people into joining them.
I got up from the bench and before I left, I told the man by patting his back. “I help bring your wife back. Just wish me luck.”
The man looked at me and he slowly smiled.
I rushed out of the park and into town.
The streets were kinda empty.
There are less cars and people.
Something is….off.
I decided to take the train.
I ran down the stairs that led me underground.
But…
It was dark down there. I thought underground train stations always have light.
Who knows what could be down there?
I decided to use my arrows to light up the place, but let’s just say…
…I’m caught in an ambush.
There are tons of people wearing skull masks. All staring at me.
I made my spear bigger to light up the place even more and to defend myself of course.
Many of them have guns, some carry knives and some had explosives.
Every time I waste an arrow, the station will be dark again and summoning a bigger arrow takes a minute.
After throwing my seemingly last arrow, everything was quiet again.
I hate it when its quiet.
Finally I summoned another arrow, but as I lit up the whole station.. ALL of these skull masked freaks all were pointing their guns at me.
This frightened me so much and carelessly threw the arrow and ran up the stairs, away from the station.
I can still hear the chaos down there.
Once the noise stopped, I walked down again with a bigger arrow in my arm just in case.
As I lit up the station, I see a train station filled with these crooks on the ground.
I realized something when these people cornered me.
They had purple skin, now they’re skin is back to normal.
Suddenly the whole train station lights turned back on.
Then I see another masked crook walk toward me.
Actually he was limping towards me.
He grabbed me and spoke “We’re free…..hah…we’re free….thank you friend…”
After saying that, he collapsed onto my arms.
I looked at his skin color and his skin is back to normal too.
Seriously, these people behave like….THEY’RE under some spell.
What really gets me is that, he said “We’re free” instead of the generic “What just happened?”
I don’t think we’re dealing with an ordinary cult. Especially one that turns people….. PURPLE!
