Great characters but the facial features and the skin are too dark, I would increase the contrast between them to solve that

I'll admit that it makes it a little harder to see their features like this, but this skin tone is a feature of their ethnicity. These people are from Dooren's Koja peninsula. Due to the magnetic fields emitted by a neutron star named Athoo (which Nanka religion believes to be the god of death) The northern and southern poles receive more UV radiation than any other part of the planet. Thus the Kojet have very dark skin.Β
The lighter skinned woman in the first image is a Choonee. Her ethnicity is native to the Rubas (that's not a pluralization, by the way) Dooren's largest desert.

I understand, but still I think the facial features should have more contrast even if you don't make the skin lighter. Just my opinon when I compare it with real people who has the darkest skin in the planet

The darkness of their skin actually serves the story. Some people take to calling them "Space Niggers". And a particular religious figure starts calling them "The Future of the Uncle Tom" when their inconvenient political positions start getting in his way.
