Description
This one is for all the process peeps!I'll often draw my rough layouts digitally for quick and easy revisions along the way. Time is valuable!
Once I'm happy with the layout, I'll print it out and quickly trace the layout onto paper using a light box. I don't trace out every last detail, usually just the general placement of the important stuff. I like to spend the least amount of time on the light box as possible.
Then, as can be seen, I'll pencil things just far enough to know what to do with the ink!
And that's my process. Nothing too fancy.

With Commissions, would you share the thumbnails/roughs with the client for approval, or just trust your own gut and work away on it yourself?

Depends on the client. Most of the time they trust me to cut loose. On occasion, clients may ask for a layout first -- to which I happily oblige.
