I was going to hold off for a bit and wait a while until I do this, but this recent pone episode pretty much made me have to do it.

In the end, this finishes off the "paganizing" of the Mane 6 (Rainbow Dash to Tengriism, AJ to Norse Heathenry, Twilight to Buddhism, Fluttershy to Jainism, and Rarity to Zoroastrianism/Mazdaki). While some on this list may not be "pagan" neccesarily, they're at least alternate. Why did I do this? Because some silly person may a comparative attempt at comparing the Mane 6 to RL religions in weird ways (Rarity was Hindu because according to the poster she had an "Indian accent"). So I decided to raise him/her one.

It's not to say these all work and can be made on a pretty abstract basis, but fuck it.

Pinkie was a difficult one to get around to since I couldn't place anything for certain (Rarity had to fall into Mazdakism because of Mazdak's preaching of social welfare, which would fit the Element of Generosity). It took me bouncing things off a friend of mine to go with Ponka, which also finishes the dharmic triumverate that is now Twi-Shy-Pink. The alternate was to cast her as a Zen Buddhist, but then again I already did Buddhism with Twilight. I think the conclusion I and my friend went with for Pinkie as a Hindu went along the lines of, "she's been shown at least once to have produced multiple hooves" (vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/m… ).

Which is probably bullshit in the end but maybe deep down there's a better bridge to make the connection somewhere. In the end: she knows not how she does, just that she do.
