with MCEdit or in creative mode, but even with INVEdit it takes forever to build cities like that in survival.

They're only three buildings, a smiley face and a 1x1 tower in the picture. I've seen cities go up on Survival in a few hours, it's impressive. It also depends on your definition of way to much time. Spending an entire day on minecraft isn't long in my opinion. A week of continuous play and you have a problem.

sorry, I expected that there would be more that we didn't see do to the POV, and as for cities go up in hours, what is your definition of "city" I would like to see you try to make the "ruined city" custom map 'base' in a day, especially without help.
