I like how the aliens look so similar to their tripod machines. It kind of gave me the idea that they deliberately based them on themselves, because they consider themselves so perfect and superior.

even though these martians are pretty damn unfaithful to the original story, I still think that their design is pretty damn amazing. I love all the long spindly limbs.
