if you are pointing to the dark creatures speaking, they are WRMZ rain meter skins and not conky...
unfortunately conky and lua are still in its infancy in the bsd world ! so i ventured into rainmeter through wine !

If you have wine installed... then you can simply download the rainmeter2.4 version and double click on the installer... i was sure to install it from the wine explorer so that the sym links to the rainmeter skins directory (which is created in our Documents directory) is done thru the "My Documents" section under wine...
thats it... i installed the skins thru this same method and used the tray icon for rainmeter to manage and modify skins ...

Yeah I like this.... The capital D in Divinity is nice, you spell out the month name (though I'd rather have seen a shot of this in June or January), and you got the cool creatures talking to you and personifying themselves...
There is Rainmeter for Unix? Learned something new today :-D

NO, there is nor RAINMETER for UNIX... i have installed it using an emulator (wine) for unix. i run a few programs that are windows specific using this.
and yes, i loved the way this skin was created, the creatures talking !

Wine Is Not an Emulator? :-D
I'm amazed that you can emulate an app who controls something as fundamental as a desktop... Maybe if you emulate the entire machine... But then you have to install windows ontop of that?

Wine is an emulator (Windows Emulator for short, if i am not mistaken )
installation of wine means you have native windows installed into the (dot)wine directory in your home folder.
if you browse that directory, you will notice the default barebone windows and system files installed...
apps and programs are installed by double clicking as we do on windows and it gets installed into the .wine directory program files.
Wine home page [link] should tell you all about this...
