Okay, it's been a while since I did my Classics Illustrated covers for Triplanetary and Galactic Patrol. Now, I know those are the first and third books in the series...where's the third? Here it is.For those not familiar with the Lensman series - SHAME! SHAME! SHAME!
In First Lensman, mankind has its first open contact with the Arisians and recieves the Lens - a semi-living psionic device that can be weilded only by the most strong-willed and incoruptable creatures in the universe. Sound like the Green Lantern Corps? Well, there are a few (alright, lots) of similarities.

You gotta be in the mood for them. To be sure, the writing is dated. It's like watching old Flash Gordon serials. Sometimes, they just feel perfect.

Ahhh the Lensman series !!! Loved them as a kid, loved the pure fantasy and outlandishness ( if that is a word) and the fact that each one had a bigger better weapon ( inertialess planets !!!)
