Description After over six years in transit (during which nearly nine years have passed on Earth), UNSA Marathon explores the Alpha Centauri system. In this image, she nears the end of an orbital insertion burn near Alpha Centauri A 2. Because of the tremendous crater filling one hemisphere, the planet has been dubbed Polyphemus.

-----

Created for my Ad Astra universe, Marathon is a repurposed Helios model (by Jason Tinsley based on a design by Korborak). The planet was made by me using the digital heavens Photoshop tools and NASA images of our own moon. The background is just one of the many wonderful images our tax dollars pay for. Money well spent in my book.

Mankind explores neighboring star systems in STL ships.

Subsequent events are up to the referee.

Beautiful mate,
though the 2 pronged welcome on the planetoid isnt to reassuring to us humans
