My entry to the 2014 Spring Contest in the group FantasyAndDragons.

My artwork shows the hatching of a young unicorn pegasus from an egg. The egg represents Winter. The unicorn pegasus represents Spring and New Life/Start. My artwork is showing the transition from Winter to Spring through an egg cracking away slowly as Spring arrives out (I hope that makes sense ^^||).

On the border I drawn in the top left is poinsettias and snowflakes. On the bottom right are lilies and eggs. I specifically selected the colours I used on the border to match their season.

Finally. I know it's strange (maybe?) why I have a unicorn pegasus hatch from an egg. The reason behind that is I was thinking of Spring. And in Spring new chicks hatch from eggs-birth-life! Also Easter Eggs I was thinking of too. So I thought, "Heck! Why not?" So that is why I decided to have her hatch from an egg though it probably makes zero sense.
