Cinema 4d is probably the best thing that happened to CG learners, a very friendly interface where everything is where it's supposed to be, unlike 3ds max for example which has all the functions / buttons shoved in the same interface, to the point when it becomes unnecessarily hard to navigate.
The terminology is the same across most 3d softwares, you'll find them all very similar to one another, and essentially do the same things. but certain softwares are more "blessed" by developers and movie makers like Maya, which has every major or minor plugin created for it.
cinema 4d isn't as upheld by devs, but gets its fair share, And adobe embeds it in after effects which unlocks a lot of possibilities.
