Description
Desc:it's been awhile- i have been forever busy
this piece was created over the course of the past week- slowly working its way up to completion during the count of days- it's 3 renders done in different programs and assembled in photoshop
i was just experimenting handling colors and finding a way to mix them all up without losing focus on a scene- and this came out
vued'esprit4
worldbuilderpro3.5
photoshop7
if u want it as a wallpaper- u can just remove the border

very nice dark, earthy colour scheme that you have used for this scene. I love your dominant reds that seem to give the scene this edginess it needs with the large amount of green and brown. I love it

d00d....it's very good as always...but the forest is photo manipulated?
anyway...it's a great work

er- yes and no? trees were rendered in vue4 and world builder 3.0 - bgleaves and green colors were from a photo and is used to color burn most of the pre-rendered objects in the scene

Hmmm.. I dont really like it.
First of all it looks like theres varying image quality in the different photos used, making the outcome quality less than what I would like.
Secondly because of the ground which in my opinion looks horrible, due to the tones used. Looks like you used the darken layer blending in photoshop or something like that and it just doesnt look right to me.. sometimes things that doesnt look right can feel right anyway, but in this case it does not.
Thirdly I dont think the ground is blended very well into the forest at places, for instans in the middle and a little to the left. Just looks like you've taken the eraser and gone over over it quickly then thought that it did the trick. I dont think it does the trick how ever.
Thats my honest opinion.

yep sorry for the low res quality-- i really need to figure out how to render in full anti-alias quality in world builder
but the only thing here that is photo is the lower ground itself- and i've only used it for color burning cg rocks- i know the blending isn't g00d- and any excuses doesn't seem to sound g00d enough- so im just gonna admit that i did a lousy job in blending this time around
i must be losing my touch
if i ever had one that is

All of the greens look very believeable, but the red doesn't make any sense to me. Are they supposed to be red leaves? If so why are some of the branches red? It just looks like transparent splotches of red in places. Perhaps The foreground looks fairly well blended with the background, but trunks on the left seem like they're engulfed in a slight fog of transparent sticks and stones...
I'm not sure what you were going for, so these observations may be irrelevant.
Keep creating. You definitely have the skills.

hey thx for the observations yes- i was kind of fishing with this scene- i haven't got much time to perfect it - so this was kind of a quickie - for me at least-- i can see lots of flaws in it i admit- yeah
sorry

Astounding work mate.
