Well I've never had to explain it before but I'll give it my best shot.
It's a very undefined genre. For some it's more for a cutesy appeal, for others it's a kink, but like most fetishes it's just the liking of an object, in this case diapers. Unfortunately, there's no one way to discover what the appeal is because there's a lot of different reasons. There's also a lot of misunderstanding, because it's one of those rare attractions that psychology has either understudied or don't know much about.
For me it's either you like it or you don't, no harsh feelings either way.
