Oh wow, I just got done commenting on your actual artwork, and then I find pretty much what I was looking for. I'm gonna fave this and see if I can use some of these tips for my benefit, but if there are any other pieces of advice you have, I'd be more than happy to hear of them.

Haha, no worries. I used Corel Painter for this painting - the blending tools allow you to make smooth, reflective surfaces far easier than in Photoshop. Other than that just study the way light and reflections work on a variety of surfaces!

Hehe, nah it's pretty useless at tuts go! I really just uploaded it for a friend who was enquiring about the painting process and I managed to find a few stills
