This is simply wonderful. ^_^ You draw Artemis so sexily. I see you did his eyes this time.

ablazened In reply to DeadlyDarkButterfly [2007-12-28 10:22:27 +0000 UTC]

yes, i did. pardon the lack of info about the eyes...

i'm not sure if i'm glad or disappointed that people can't tell what's aesthetically incorrect about Artemis' face...

if you like the pic, go visit the fanfic, honeh.

perhaps you'll find it's very cute.

blackcat-girl In reply to ablazened [2007-12-28 19:35:08 +0000 UTC]

They look like babies mostly, but you CAN see hints of a chibi in them.

That only makes them CUTER! <3

(btw, no "Xmas"-ing. the entire point of Christmas is Christ.

and "Xmas" just plucks Christ out of the picture and plops him down into the unknown...)

Did you know the Telling Pool was a book written by the author David Clement-Davis, who is my most favorite author?

I was reminded, sorry.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ablazened In reply to Sahkmet [2007-12-27 14:19:24 +0000 UTC]

yes, i know that the Telling Pool is a book written by the author David Clement-Davis, but i didn't know he was your favorite author...

it is this particular book that Artemis Fowl II is reading to his two siblings. just as Holly and Butler come in the front door.

LOVE THE SIGHT! i wanna read Fell but its not in the library -.-

on a different note, i love this! goin ta check out the fanfic noaw...

Sahkmet In reply to WyndWrks [2011-01-04 06:08:01 +0000 UTC]

Eh, Fell's not that good of a book, but if you hanker for more Sight than you can read it, though it completely deviates from the first book's original intentions and style. But that's my opinion.

WyndWrks In reply to Sahkmet [2011-01-04 06:09:10 +0000 UTC]

yeah...i read the teaer online and it said a bunch of crud about fell goin off with some human kid and im like WHAT?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sahkmet In reply to WyndWrks [2011-01-04 06:16:25 +0000 UTC]

EXACTLY. Its fileld with horrible cliche characters! There's this girl, who can learn to fight and shit, and this cliche boy who helps, and more stupid cliches, like she's a 'chosen one' and stuff. HATE. I read the Sight and Firebringer because of its originality with the meduim of anthromorphizing animals, certainly NOT to read a typical human story!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

WyndWrks In reply to Sahkmet [2011-01-05 00:46:31 +0000 UTC]

I know!!! i mean, who CARES about another story about humans!!! i mean, not to say that stories about hmans arent good, but if a book/series originated as a book about animals, it should STAY that way! not merge into another human story. FFFFFF

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sahkmet In reply to WyndWrks [2011-01-05 01:02:42 +0000 UTC]

The first book Sight blended in, of course, the elements that duh humans exist, of course, but yes this second one went a bit too cliche. I was just content with the first book. However the author had done some children's books about the Crusades, so he brought in the idea of knights and medieval-era adventure story in with this one.

WyndWrks In reply to Sahkmet [2011-01-05 04:01:57 +0000 UTC]

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sahkmet In reply to ablazened [2007-12-27 20:25:03 +0000 UTC]

They are epic adventures from the point of view of animals, Firebringer is of a Red Deer in old Scotland and The Sight is of a white She-wolf in the Carpthian mountains. It's hard to explain but they're very good nd well written!

does he write for kids?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Sahkmet In reply to ablazened [2007-12-28 15:24:01 +0000 UTC]

The Telling Pool is the only one he wrote for kids. It's very different from his other stories, which are epic violent animal adventures compared to the Crusade tale he wrote in the Telling Pool.

okay, i'll go get me a copy of this... Telling Pool you speak of.

then i'll move on to the deeper, more violent stories.

Sahkmet In reply to ablazened [2007-12-29 16:30:48 +0000 UTC]

Well they're not too violent, just that they are much different then The Telling Pool in age appeals.
