Sirith proceeded to carry/drag Loriel back to the trunk while the thunder continued to roar above them. When they finally got inside, Sirith tried to shake Loriel to consciousness. Still nothing.
"Hey! Come on now!" he called desperately. He wrapped the dry jacket around Loriel's and the scarf around his shoulders. He then held him close and folded his tail around the boy, trying to create some heat.

"You stupid boy." he softly said. "Why did you go out in the storm... Never told me you're scared of thunder.... Just ran after me."
A tear rolled down his cheek and he gave a weak smile.
"Stupid."

Loriel was so scared and so cold. His vision slowly began to fade, then nothing.

Then, everything was happening so fast yet so slowly at the same time.

He heard Sirith's voice and felt his warmth. For a spit second Loriel saw the ground bellow him moving as Sirith carried him back to the tree. Then the rain stopped, but the thunder only got louder. It didn't matter as Loriel slowly lost the strength to move, and the thunder sounded so far away. He was on the verge of loosing consciousness completely again.

But Sirith's voice rang louder and louder, and he felt so warm that Loriel cuddled up against him weakly. When he felt a tear hit his cheek he slowly opened his eyes, looking up at Sirith.

"S-Sirith...?" he mumbled as he slowly and weakly lifted up a hand to touch the others cheek, but hesitated.

Sirith's body practically went limp from relief as he heard Loriel say his name.
"Thank the Keepers!" he exclaimed and grabbed Loriel's hand, pressing it against his face.
He held the elf's hand tightly and buried his face in his grey hair, unable to say anything.

The rain was puttering on the trunk and the thunder were reduced to low rumbles.

After a few moments, he muttered something along the lines of: "I'm so relieved."

Loriel's cold fingers instantly warmed up when they touched Sirith's skin. It took the boy a few moments to realize that Sirith was not yelling at him. That he was holding him. That he was there.

Loriel smiled as he cried softly, feeling the other press against his hair.

He didn't even notice that the storm slowly began to move on.

Loriel frowed slightly when he heard Sirith speak. "I'm s-sorry... I-I just wanted to f-find you..."

"Enough of that." Sirith shushed him.
"And there's no need to cry anymore. Just..." he lifted his head out of Loriel's hair.

He was at a loss for words, which was a strange thing for the fox. He always had something to say.
"Just be safe." he said and smiled, looking outside.

You are not going to cry. You are not going to cry. his mind scolded him.

He then turned his face back towards Loriel's. "I don't understand why you'd even come after me."

Loriel was a bit confused when Sirith looked away. It was almost as if he was going to say something else. This was quickly forgotten when Sirith spoke again.

"Because I care about you," Loriel said as he sat up more but not letting go of the embrace. He wasn't as cold as before, he just didn't want the warmth to go away.

"And it's not just as a friend, but... I-it's hard to describe, but... I really l-like you, and I'm really happy when I see you smile... A-and the thought of you not being there mankes me want to cry, and I... w-well, um..."

Once again the blush returned as Loriel felt embarassed for saying too much.

Sirith gave a sigh and a light smile.

"I guess...I know what you mean." he finally said.

"It is hard to describe. But I understand. Earlier I wanted to deny it and it made me angry." Sirith pulled his tail away, seeing as it wasn't needed anymore to keep them warm, and swished it slowly from side to side.

"But I accept it now and I'm happy." he looked at Loriel as he said it.

Sirith placed his forehead against the elf's and closed his eyes. "I enjoy your company as well. More than that of a friend. And apologize for everything that had to take place for me to come to that realization." he hummed in a chivalrous manner, his former self shining through.

He then opened his eyes and locked them on Loriel's. "That means 'I like you too'." he said with a wide smile.
